QI GONG SERIES

Hosted by Dr. Kasey Smith, DACM

FOR MOVEMENT, ENERGY, AND SEASONAL TRANSITION

Join us for an all-levels Summer Qigong series at Good Health:

Qigong is a system of self-healing and meditation.  “Qi” being a word for life energy and “Gong” meaning work or benefits acquired through practice.  We will focus on gentle movement practice to cultivate energy within the body and release tension.

This series will focus on the fire element, and helping support the body through the hottest and most yang time of the year.  Qigong focused on the fire element helps to benefit the heart and small intestine, as well as the blood vessels and circulation.

When the fire element within us is in harmony, we feel an openness to joy and a connection with the truth and knowing of our own hearts. When the fire element is out of balance we may feel an excess of joy and excitement leading to feelings of anxiety, or we may feel a lack of joy in day to day life.

This qigong practice helps us to find mental and emotional harmony as we let go of tightness and stagnation, and allow our hearts to be open to joy.

Class will run for 6 weeks meeting once a week from July 11th through August 15th.  Each class will last 45 minutes, beginners encouraged*.

Free for active Good Health patients. $10 for general public.
